BUSH FIRES ACT 1954
PART III PREVENTION OF BUSH FIRES
SECTION 18 - RESTRICTED BURNING TIME (LIFTED)
Pursuant to Section 18, subsection (5B} Bush Fires Act 1954 the Shire of Kojonup
advises the Restricted Burning Period has been lifted as of 11th May 2024.
The fuel load across the Shire is in a dry state and until we have substantial amounts of
rain the risk to the community remains high.
Note: Under Section 46 of the bushfires act the Chief Bushfire Control Officer can reimpose
a restricted season to again manage burning activities if significant weather is
forecast.
