Bridge Maintenance Works – BRIDGE CLOSURE – Bridge 4312A, Samson Road, Kojonup
Main Roads Western Australia will be undertaking bridge maintenance and improvement works on Samson Road (Bridge 4312A) in 2025. These works are likely to begin in February 2025 and are expected to be completed in May 2025.
The refurbishment works includes construction of a new reinforced concrete bridge deck, widening of the existing bridge and replacement of critical timber sections under the bridge. Given the nature of these works and the restrictions at this location, the bridge will need to be closed to allow for these bridgeworks to be completed safely. A full bridge closure is planned to be in place from February 2025 for a 2-month period subject to the progress on site.
For the safety of road users and the bridge workers, traffic management will be in place including a signed detour. A signed detour is via Samson Road / Jingalup Road / Shamrock Road / Albany Highway and as shown in Attachment 1.
