PUBLIC NOTICE Disposal of Property by Disposition – s. 3.58 of the Local Government Act 1995 The Shire of Kojonup gives notice in accordance with the Local Government Act 1995 that it proposes to dispose of its fire tower communications building (in an empty state), located on Samson Road, to the current landowner, whose land the building is situated on, for nil cost, as per Council resolution 44/23 and due to the placement of a new fire tower in a different location and the deconstruction and removal of the fire tower from that landowner’s property. A sworn valuation of $100 was obtained on 14 April 2023. SHIRE OF KOJONUP STATEWIDE PUBLIC NOTICE Major Land Transaction Section 3.59 of the Local Government Act 1995 The Shire of Kojonup (Shire) is considering entering into agreements in relation to the lease and management of the Springhaven Frail Aged Hostel and the lease of three residential premises located in Kojonup. The proposed transaction is a ‘major land transaction’ for the purposes of the Local Government Act 1995, and the Shire has prepared a business plan. A copy of the business is available on the Shire’s website, and may be inspected at the Shire’s offices. Written submissions in respect of the proposed transaction may be lodged with the Shire prior to 5.00pm, 13 September 2024. The Shire of Kojonup have extended the Restricted Burning Period to midnight the 14th of May 2024. Please note that you will still need to obtain a permit from your local CFO to do any type of burning.

PUBLIC NOTICE BUSH FIRES ACT 1954 PART III PREVENTION OF BUSH FIRES SECTION 17 - PROHIBITIED BURNING TIMES SECTION 18 – RESTRICTED BURNING TIMES Pursuant to Section 17 Bush Fires Act 1954, the Shire of Kojonup provides public notice that the Prohibited Burning Time for the Shire of Kojonup District will conclude on Wednesday, 28 February 2024. Pursuant to Section 18 Bush Fires Act 1954, the Shire of Kojonup provides public notice that the Restricted Burning Time for the Shire of Kojonup District will commence on Thursday, 29 February 2024 and conclude on Tuesday, 30 April 2024. No Permits will be issued for town site burning before 30 April 2024 or until further notice Permits are a requirement for burning in the Restricted Burning Period and can be obtained from a Bush Fire Control Officer. This notice amends the current advertised Prohibited and Restricted Burning Period dates in the Shire of Kojonup 2023/2024 Fire Break Order.
